Beau de Jour opens with a strong dose of lavender, then brings in rosemary, mint, basil and geranium over a mossy green heart before drying down to patchouli and amber. It is a classic barbershop lavender scent with good staying power and solid projection, which suits a man who wants to smell clean and well groomed at the office, in the daytime or at dinner. It is at its best in spring and fall, and it holds up well in summer too.
