Bois du Portugal opens with a short burst of bergamot before a full lavender heart takes over, then dries down to a dense base of sandalwood, cedar and vetiver warmed by ambergris. It is for a man who likes a classic, well-groomed woody scent with a traditional, tailored character. It suits fall, winter and spring, and is a little heavy for high summer.
